Thanks for reworking the rosters for us. I agree with others here though; The defense rating has been almost completely worthless since you added the inside/outside +3/-3 coaching settings.

Don't do too much work on fixing things. One update a year is really all you need.

I'm assuming this post meant a month from when the all-defense teams were announced. If not, the best I'd look for would be May 20th. At worst, a month from this week. Actually, that's not at worst, that's just my actual guess.

If you're looking for Seble to post here more frequently than once every couple of months just to tell us what's going on... well, keep waiting. He goes months and months without telling us anything (not an exaggeration). Not that there's much to tell us, I reckon. I used to be ****** off about the lack of communication from him, but I no longer hold it against him. That, to me, is WIS's fault for not getting forum admins that care to mix it with the community. Apparently programmers don't feel like it's a very high priority to discuss their product with their consumers. A single PR-type guy would do a lot in this direction, but that's probably way out of the question.

Now that the HD update is done, maybe we'll actually get some attention paid to the basketball SIM. I don't have any interest whatsoever in recruiting and scheduling practices, or any of that other garbage: I just want to create teams and play.

Quick update: I'm having a statistician help create a new, more lenient, system for determining position effectiveness. Once I have that, I'll start the process of importing the 09-10 players and re-generating effectiveness and defensive ratings for all players.

I don't have a specific timetable yet, but this is next on the agenda after the HD update goes out tomorrow and I deal with any immediate issues with that.

Seble, we are starting up leagues and deliberating whether we should wait for the 09-10 release or not. Becuase, as we understand it, our teams will be effected if the change happens mid-season. Is the update going to happen in 2 weeks, 2 months? Is it going to be more like the former or the latter? Or longer? Any insight would really help us make a decision.

It should be within the next 2-3 weeks. Either way it won't affect leagues in progress if that's what you're worried about.
