Public opinion-wise, I don't think many people are blaming Obama for anything in Afghanistan.  Most attribute that war and anything bad related to it to Bush.

Most liberals attribute anything bad on Bush.   This includes Manning's injury, Howard Stern on TV and the death of Elvis.    So I wouldn't put much stock in the liberal polls on Afghanistan.

If someone is going to make the argument that Obama's election chances will be damaged by Afghan casualties, I'd argue that, rightly or wrongly, Bush gets most of  the blame for Afghanistan, not Obama.  The damage will minimal and the economy will be much more of an important issue.

I'm pretty sure the libs are blaming the economy on Bush.   Along with Boeing building a non-union plant in SC and the emergence of Sarah Palin from Alaska.   I believe Bush is also the number one killer of minority babies.

I know that people are blaming the economy on Bush.  That point does have validity.  We were well into the recession before Obama took office.

Just because you know a couple of liberal idiots that are blaming the economy on Bush doesn't mean that actual voters are thinking that.

I think after nearly 3 1/2 years, people are realizing that Obama's promises of "Hope!!" and "Change!!" was just empty rhetoric.

I'm sure some are.  And they're right, for the most part.  Obama could have handled it better, but the better option (a bigger, better targeted stimulus) wasn't necessarily viable from a political standpoint.
