Being gay is acceptable in our society. Incest isn't.
As genghisxcon pointed out earlier in this thread, slavery was once considered acceptable in our society.
Are you arguing that just because something is "acceptable in our society" that it is morally right?
No
Only you can determine what is morally right and wrong for you.
I believe in god like I believe in leprechauns, so I don't think being gay is morally wrong, regardless of what some dude wrote in the bible a thousand years ago.
Okay, I believe it's okay for me come steal everything you own (by the way, you should have no complaint about that since everyone is responsible for determine their own morality). Maybe I believe it's okay to torture babies for the shear fun of it.
The law that says I can't is based on what exactly? Tribal convention? If we depend on the law to establish it for us, then what's to stop us from making a law to round up a bunch of people of a certain race and send them off to the ovens? If enough of us believe that is a moral thing to do, then why not?
Do you really believe we determine morality individually? Do we determine it by convention?
