In this case it will probably be the supreme court.  But you know that, so what's your point?

You treat "constistutional" as if it is some absolute, infallible truth that everybody agrees on.

Are all Supreme Court rulings on constitutional matters unanimous?

And I'm STILL waiting for you to give one legal reason that same sex marriage should be banned.
You'll probably die waiting for that.   I've never said there was one and I've said, several times, that I don't care one way or another about SSM.   Let 'em marry, refuse to let 'em marry.  Don't care and can't imagine I ever will.

And yet 9 pages later, you are still engaging in a debate about same sex marriage.

He hasn't looked up "interpretation" yet.   He will and then he'll go back to FIP.

It's not.  It's my opinion.  If you disagree, feel free to explain.

So you get to decide what's "constitutional"?  Is that what you're saying?

Ahhh, this is where you're wrong.   We're not talking about SSM.   We're talking about how you think laws and the constitution aren't open to interpretation.   You keep saying "They can't!" and I keep saying "Yet they are!!"

We could be talking about the possibility of Denver beating the Lakers.

No, but I get an opinion.  As do you.  If you think that it is constitutional for states to ban same sex marriage, please explain.

OK.  In my opinion, it is unconstitutional for states to ban same sex marriage.  Agree or disagree?

Would you care to point out where anyone has claimed it's constitutional?
5/11/2012 2:28 PM
My opinion doesn't matter, as I have no direct say or influence on the laws of the land.  I assume that neither do you.  Correct me if I'm wrong.

I'm asking you if you agree or disagree.  I'm not saying you've claimed anything.

The whole point of this is to give your opinion.  If you don't want to, you don't have to.  But I'm a little unsure why you're engaging if you don't want to give it.
