Obama: Worst President Ever? Topic

President Flip-Flop, now pandering for votes.

Regardless of why he said it, he's on the right side now.  As a Fox News anchor said earlier today, "the president of the united states, now in the 21st century."

Why is that "the right side"?

Why is believing that same sex couples should be allowed to marry, the right side? Because there isn't a compelling reason to deny them that right.

Oh, of course that must be it.  Thousands of years of human social and cultural norms must have been "wrong" all along.

Other than the religious right, I don't think anyone cares if they marry.    But that doesn't change the fact that Obama is pandering for votes.

So any differing opinions are wrong?

Of course.   The left preaches tolerance but are intolerant of differing views.

If one believes in the Bible, there is very compelling reason to deny them that right.

The government probably shouldn't be involved in marriage. But it is. As long as it is, it can't discriminate against a group without a compelling reason. There isn't one.

If any of you have one, I'm happy to hear it.

We don't live in a theocracy. We don't make laws based on what the bible says. Your religios views aren't any more important than mine.

Reading comprehension problems?

If one believes in the Bible, there is very compelling reason to deny them that right.

Are you going to deny that the Bible even exists?   Or that people believe in it?

See post above yours.

I don't think gay marriage is a religious view.   Surely, at some point, someone said "Marriage is between a man and a woman" and laws were made based on that.   Not sure where they got the info that influenced their decision but I'm guessing it's religion-based.

That is a bit confusing.   I don't know of a religion that says "Marriage can be between members of the same sex."  Maybe there is one.

And, just so you know, I don't care who gets married.  Consenting adults, blah, blah, blah.
