Most recent poll of the US military had Trump as their choice for Commander in Chief.

Even if they like him it doesn't mean he should order them to break the law. That's absurd. Even if they (or I) wanted to use greater measures, which I would, having a commander in chief order me to break the law as a matter of course is ridiculous.

The guy does a total disregard for the rule of law, our system, and what a president needs to be.

Like I said, I just don't understand his allure other than appealing to base emotion. He'll be as big of a disaster as Hillary.

"I feel very, very strongly about the need to attack and kill those terrorists who attack and kill our people. I know people who died on 9/11. I will never forget those events. I will use every legal power that I have to stop these terrorist enemies," Trump said in a statement provided to POLITICO. "I do, however, understand that the United States is bound by laws and treaties and I will not order our military or other officials to violate those laws and will seek their advice on such matters. I will not order a military officer to disobey the law. It is clear that as President I will be bound by laws just like all Americans and I will meet those responsibilities."

This is what the electoral map looks like if you use Trump's current polling 49% of the white vote:

You could've said the same thing about Carter's 15 point lead on Reagan leading up to the 1980 election. You're practicing Coueism. I hope it makes you feel better, for awhile. Trump has much wider appeal than many Dems are willing to acknowledge.
Not true, but I guess we'll see. Unless the GOP nominates someone else.

I have to admit, this news coming out of my hometown, which has always been very heavily Democratic, might be the most surprising thing to me out of this entire election season. Particularly with the link to HIllary's family (her father was born in Scranton, and was buried there when he died in the early 90's).

Or they know how to read poll results and want to help elect Clinton. I'm all about Trump getting the nomination. I don't think it will happen, but I'm rooting for him.

This precisely is what Mr. Bad_Luck has convinced himself isn't happening. Also, Trump will do better with minorities than any GOP nominee in a very long time (assuming of course that he doesn't get backstabbed by the RNC).

I'm from NYC (Manhattan). Practically everybody here is a Democrat who, if confronted by some angry, self-righteous leftist, will pretend to concede that Trump is vulgar, ignorant, offensive, racist, etc. But privately, a lot of us are going to vote for him. The only Democratic candidate worth a damn would have been Biden, and everybody knows it.
This might explain why this is happening:

Very few people vote that way. The VAST majority vote for who the want to win. That's why I find Rubio's vote for Kasich in Ohio and me in Florida message funny. If I live in Ohio and I like Rubio I vote for Rubio, not a Trump cockblock. You are overthinking it... People are simple.

Its funny..... The assumption that Trump will get weaker as the field consolidates. The media and the pundits have been proven wrong on this over and over now. They still don't understand that not ALL people that like another candidate, hate Trump.
Proves the point:

Nearly half of the supporters of Ohio Gov. John Kasich would vote for Donald Trump, not Ted Cruz, as their second choice, according to the results of a Quinnipiac University national poll released Wednesday. And more than half of Cruz's backers suggested they would do the same with their man out of the race.
