What is your actual point?

Terrorists kill 3,000 people on a beautiful Tuesday morning.  We should shrug it off a a bummer?

Great point!  Tell us more!

Those terrorists weren't Iraq. We weren't going in for payback.
You need to learn more bozo......

It was suspected that al-Qaeda was connected to Saddam. Right or wrong that was what our intelligence was reporting.
I'm not sure if legitimate intelligence actually reported that, or if it was more of giving Bush/Cheney what they were looking for (wink, wink) as an excuse to finish the job (removing Saddam Hussein from power) that daddy Bush was denied a decade earlier.

Perhaps you're missing my point.

I think the intelligence community knew that Bush/Cheney wanted a war against Iraq.  Strong hints were probably dropped their way.  I think that those in charge of the intelligence community made sure that the information presented to Bush/Cheney was selective enough and presented in such a was as to paint the picture they thought was needed to give the White House the war they wanted.

I wouldn't be at all surprised if Bush/Cheney suspected or even knew that they weren't being given the complete picture, but they chose to play the "this is what our intelligence is telling us" card to go to war against Iraq.

I also think you're probably being very naive if you think that Washington doesn't sometimes work that way.

Iraq was not a justifiable war.  I never said it was.

Afghanistan absolutely was a justifiable war.

Is ISIS located in Afghanistan or Iraq?

I mean, it almost seems like you don't.

Dahs says going to Iraq was a bad decision that caused ISIS. You then say "Terrorists kill 3,000 people on a beautiful Tuesday morning. We should shrug it off a a bummer?" as if payback for terrorism was the reason we went into Iraq.

Technically speaking ISIS was founded in 1999 while Bill Clinton was president and didn't become a prominent player until June 2014 when they declared a caliphate under Obama's watch (11 years after the US invaded Iraq and 2 years after Obama withdrew all combat troops from Iraq declaring victory). Remember Obama had said ISIS was the JV team because at the time (2013) they were nobodies. It was under Obama's watch they rose to power.
