Economically.
Socially.
Foreign policy has been the biggest problem and even that's just OK. Not great, not disastrous.
As the bottom falls out of the market, much like Bush last year, 2008.
Now everyone hates the rich, the police, republicans, the south, and Christians.
And Foreign Policy.... Where to begin? ITS A ******* DISATER UNDER OBAMA!!! No one can argue otherwise.
Markets go up and down. I'm sure if gas prices were up you'd blame that on Obama. The fact is that most people are better off financially than they were at the bottom of the recession. Unless you think Obama is to blame for the recession, his term has been a success.
Socially, gays have marriage equality, more people are aware of and working to end the racism in the justice system, fewer people are going to jail for minor drug offenses, and the death penalty is as unpopular as ever. Also less people are denying that man-made climate change is real, so that's progress.
Foreign policy-wise, most of the worlds problems are beyond any leader's control. But we have less troops over seas fighting wars, America hasn't fallen victim to any large scale terrorist attacks, Obama worked out the Iran deal, the Cuba deal, and Bin Laden is dead.
LOL.
Read what you just said about "economically" -
1) "If gas prices were up you'd blame that on Obama" - I've been seeing memes from my liberal friends on FB pointing out $4 gas under Bush and $2 gas under Obama. So I guess $4 gas was Bush's fault.
2) "Most people are better off financially than they were at the bottom of the recession" - it would be close to impossible for most people to be
worse off now than they were at the bottom of the recession since the recession is now years past in the rear view mirror. The better question is: have we recovered better than we would have under 4 or 8 years of McCain? It's a hypothetical question with no way to definitively answer, but it's incredibly naive to think that we're definitively in the best possible economic shape possible after 7 years of Obama.
As to socially . . . that's up to individuals to decide for themselves. The way you've been railing on the the racist police killing black people over the past couple of years in these forums, it's odd to see you argue that racism is getting better under Obama. I'm not sure I'd characterize the "unpopularity" of the death penalty as a positive thing. And climate change is hardly a settled subject. Pretty much all of the supposed "science" that backs the idea of man-made climate change conveniently ignores the biggest factor in climate change, which is our planets interaction with a rather large ball of gas 93 million miles away and the known and measurable cyclical changes in the earth's orbit and wobble in the tilt of it's axis which just happen to coincide with all previous cycles of planetary climate change.
Foreign policy has been a disaster since day 1 of the Obama Administration. Bin Laden is dead. Yea!!! But now there's ISIS.
