I love your argument Doug. You have no problem with gays being married except, oh ****, totally forgot it's against the rules for a word to expand in meaning. Sorry.
I love how you didn't quote me before you made your remark.
Now, I may not have a lot of love for you but I sit here and try to think you are not a totally stupid man.
Please help me think you are not a totally stupid man. I'm gonna help you out. I'll take you back to first grade.
Since you didn't quote it, I'll recap. Words have meaning. Marriage is a word. It's between a man and a woman. Anything else needs a new word.
Now we're back in first grade. Apples and oranges. Are you still with me? Keeping up? Apples and oranges? Got it?
Now we are going to do pairs. Not pears…..pairs. Got it?
An apple meets an orange and they get together. They are different and together.
An apple meets an apple and they get together. They are the same and together.
An orange meets an orange and they get together. They are the same and get together.
Only one of them is mixed fruit. Only the apple and the orange. Not the 2 apples or the 2 oranges. They are all different.
In some ways they are the same because they are all fruit. Only one of them is mixed. The others are the same.
Just as you can't call two apples mixed fruit…you can't call 2 men married. Only a man and a woman can do that.
All the apples and oranges can hook up with their own kind, but they'll never be mixed.
You can chop up all the apples you want but you can never call them mixed fruit. They are only apples.
That's why marriage is only between a man and a woman. They are different. Two of the same are not different.
Not marriage. Not mixed fruit. Apples and oranges. Pairs not pears. First grade. Words have meaning.
Your answer will determine if we can pass you into the second grade.
