One year ago at the last State of the Union address, Obama says: "In Yemen, Somalia, Iraq, and Mali, we have to keep working with partners to disrupt and disable these networks."

  IMO Obama is the worst president the US has ever had. That said, I think a GOOD health care subsidy program is essential. Either that or have a heart attack and end up owing $125,000 for the surgery. Have another one when you can't pay the bill. Going on side with Palestine is the biggest mistake he has made, imo. There is a huge price to pay for that (going anti Israel) Don't mess with their land.

 Back the good ol' USA. I have to laugh at how the Democraps constastantly trash the Repub's. It's their hobby. Liberalism destroys the family unit, and will destroy the US, in time. My biggest shock was when the US RE ELECTED Obama. Of course the Repub's run someone who will never be elected. Someone pulling their strings, and don't ask me how that works

 You have the government you deserve, America. I have watched the slide since Nov 22-1963 and it is a very sad movie. I don't see it getting better.

IF the USA does come to destruction, where then, do the oppressed go for refuge?

Our system is designed to prevent massive failure.    We've had two massive financial crisis(crisi?) in the last 90 years and have come out OK.   Very few have enjoyed the last 7-8 years but the infrastucture didn't collapse.    We'll get a new leader, some things will change and then, in 4-8 years, we'll get another.

Exactly. Kind of the whole point of the way we function is to prevent the collapse of the nation. We have fair, nonviolent ways of changing things. 

I live in Texas, and while I am quite conservative (maybe even more libertarian than republican in thinking) I can't help but scoff at the seemingly many calling for secession. They don't seem to realize that there is another way to change the way the country is going, and would rather ignore the motivation for the Constitution they are so mad is being infringed upon. 

Whether we agree with Washington's current politics or not, what makes this nation great is the direct ability to change it.

Just to be clear, because I'm sure someone will be happy to point out that Obama's approval rating has been near 50% since 2010, I meant that few have enjoyed the same financial success they had in the early-mid 00's since 2007-2008.   We've made some gains but I think there's a new normal and I don't believe everyone has accepted that.   And, contrary to popular belief, a change in leadership isn't going to change that.
