CNN BREAKING NEWS: Juror from Zimmerman trial: Holdout "wanted to find him guilty of something, but couldn't" under the law.

Sounds like bad_luck was on the jury.

In my opinion, the racism is obvious. Why are you so stupid?
Hypothetical situation:

Two guys jump a third dude as he exits a bar at 2am, and beat the **** out of him.

Is that racially motivated?
Did BL ever answer this?

Exactly which of his "unreasonable actions" were criminal?
Or this?

BTW, that was AFTER he told her "Some crazy-*** cracker is following me".

Who do you really think initiated the physical confrontation?
If someone was following you(you're doing nothing wrong), confronted you, and then you saw he had a gun, what would you do?  Does the "Stand your Ground" law apply against Zimmerman in that situation?

I imagine it depends on what you mean by "confront"

Even if he did, is it a crime for a neighborhood watch member to profile?
As I said earlier, no.
So your point is....?
BL mentioned that GZ's actions were racial.  I agreed that he was likely racially profiling.  Then you got started arguing.

That's the thing, the law is so ambiguous.  According to the law, I only have to reasonably feel like there is an unlawful threat against my person.  If I'm accosted by a person wearing a gun, that doesn't have a badge, and he's up in my business, I'm probably going to reasonably feel unsafe.

The answer is I don't know.

If Martin had taken the gun away from Zimmerman and killed him, do you think he should have been acquitted also?

Ever had a gun pulled on you?   I have more than once.   My thought wasn't "I'm gonna punch this guy".  It was "How the **** do I get out of the line of fire without getting shot in the back."

Just knowing that "person A shot and killed person B" doesn't tell me enough to determine guilt or innocence.

I'd agree it isn't the best law. I guess a jury has to figure out if the person was reasonably in danger? What was said? What did the person do, exactly?

If an angry person with a gun approaches me, I'm probably not going to be confrontational and will figure out how to get out of the situation without being hurt.

It's almost like you guys can't figure things out on your own.    Someone yelling at you is not a threat to your well-being.  Someone following you is not a threat to your well-being.    Someone punching you in the face is a threat to your well-being.

Zimmerman did not pull the gun on Martin and violence ensued.   Violence occurred, Zimmerman pulled his gun.  ****, we're not talking about a 10 year old kid being questioned by a man.    Who amongst us, when they were 17, didn't think they were a man?

Why would I?  I've already said I don't know how FL laws pertain to the situation you describe.   But, hell, I'll make you happy.

TM would be praised as a national hero for killing a crazy Mexican with a gun.   We would celebrate Trayvon Martin Luther King Day next February.

How's that?
7/17/2013 8:15 AM
What if, during the struggle, Martin took the gun away and shot Zimmerman. Two questions: do you think he would have walked free? Do you think he should have walked free?

I think Martin WOULD have walked free. In fact, I think the same groups calling for Zimmerman's head right now and prior to the jury's verdict would be called for Martin to walk away a free man if the situation were reversed. I think THEY are the racists because they would side with Martin either way just because he's black. From every article I've read on the topic, that is clearly the case.
