I'll be honest, despite my HBD arrogance, I don't have a f'ing clue when it comes to coaches.  Someone write a manifesto.

Generally I look to get coaches in the upper part of the ratings for their level, but dont get too out of shape in overbidding for the "best".  Generally the prospects that come all the way up through my system are very near their projections because of it

I don't really have any evidence that my approach to minor league coaches works, but I do know that A) a few others do the same, and B) I'm not going to say any more about it.

In the majors, I just try to get good but not great guys across the board, although sometimes I'll splurge on a high-end PC.
Look, it's not in my nature to be mysterious, but I can't talk about it, and I can't talk about why.
The first rule of Minor League Coaching Approaches is: you do not talk about Minor League Coaching Approaches. The second rule of Minor League Coaching Approaches is: you DO NOT talk about Minor League Coaching Approaches!

Exactly, cheez.  Exactly.
I'll just assume you're one of the reasons my efforts to come in and throw a lot of money late at one of the better coaches at a given level often fail because he's been offered a job at a higher level.

Well I'll just assume you're a big jerk.

At long as we understand each other.

Dammit, this is the last year I can keep Michael Turner with my 11th round pick in my draft league.  I'll actually have to think about keeper possibilities while drafting.  I hate that.

I like some of my keeper options in SFKAL or SKFAL
8/12/2010 10:37 AM
I'll be keeping one no-brainer and probably two iffy keeps that I think are merited due to the nature of our league (which is rapidly becoming one of my favorite fantasy leagues ever).

The two players I specifically targeted in the last auction for keeper potential will be keepers - but I had to spend more to get them last year than I wanted, so not quite the values I had hoped.

No one mentioned it yesterday, but...

Ariza is not that good...

Collison could be really good for the Pacers.
yeah, Lee for the Rockets is as good as Ariza to me
