The person with the most correct moves on to part 3, the other two players will move on to part 2.
Picks will be due by 5pm on Thursday
Part 2:
College football playoff
We will be using the whatifsports college football sim matchup for the next part.
The two lower scores from part 1 will each need to submit a list of 16 college football teams that we will use to have a tournament playoff style challenge.
I'll use the lists for a snake style draft to give each player 8 teams for the tournament. Best player form part 1 gets first pick. We will matchup the teams 1 vs 8, 2 vs 7, 3 vs 6, 4 vs 5 to have 2 brackets. The winning team from each bracket will face off be the overall champ and the player that has that team will advance to part 3.
The catch is you can only use teams that are in the current top 25 of the college playoff rankings and you can only use a school once, but any year you want. IE you cannot put Alabama 2013 in spot 1 and Alabama 2012 in spot 2. Only 1 school per player.
All games will be played at a neutral site and we will do best 3 out of 5 for each matchup.
Lists will be due by Friday at 7pm.
Part 3:
Gamblers anonymous
Very simple. I'll give you each $1000 to bet on Sunday sporting events.
Every bet is straight 1:1 payout.
No hedging both sides of a bet.
Bets must be made in $10 increments and minimum bet is $50
All sports must be bet on.
All money must be bet.
The sports involved will be: NFL, NBA, NHL, NASCAR.
I'll post the spreads, totals, etc on Saturday morning.
Player with the most money at the end will decide who they want to take with them to the final 2!!!
IF for some reason you feel you won't be around to be able to complete any of these challenges please let me know.
