This is my next OL team...only decision is to play at Coors or Atlanta Fulton County Stadium...I've got about $1.7 million to spend.  I plan on waiving 4 pitchers to pick up $800,000 and then use all that money to pick up a righthanded reliever.

I'm not asking for your advice to make my team better (roster decisions have been made), just curious to know how many wins you guys think this team will muster.

I'll play Glenn Wright at 2B, and Howard Johnson at SS, which concerns me.

I always cover 1B by committee, relying heavily on the best hitting AAA guy I can find.

85-ish wins....
280-ish hr's...

One more thing:   How many homers do you think this team will hit?

Your pitching is going to make your defense worse than you think it will be....pre-1920 pitchers will greatly increase the number of E's your guys make, but won't impact +/- plays much.

i always use pre-1920s pitchers and defense is always fine, but i'm changing my defensive lineup up the middle a lot...williams at 3b is huge:  fine fielding % and lots of " + " plays...howard johnson at SS should make only a couple errors all season (but lots of " - " plays, which is why I have Foli for defensive replacement)...carter has a great arm behind the plate...

also concerned about centerfield, where i usually play ashburn... and 2b, where i'm starting a B/A shortstop...

yeah, my defense might not be that great...

if you keep HOJO at 100%, he won't make ANY errors at SS. I use him frequently and don't even bother switching him out for a defensive replacement.

Your team looks like it could win 90 games at AFC (fewer at Coors) and blast about 220 homers.

I believe you'll easily hit 200+ HRs, but I think your pitching will do you in.

He's an amazing OL shortstop for $5.3 million, EXCEPT that his performance history shows over 30 " - " plays... i picked him up on the waiver wire and he's played the last 22 games as short - 0 errors, 6 " - " plays...
