I am pretty surprised by just how well 1919 Cravath has done for me in mlb89344, a pretty tough $100mil theme league. He has a higher OPS than Ruth. He is not a full timer, and he has garnered quite a few PH appearances. His glove is wack, but his bat more than makes up for it. His totals through 144 team games so far:

Not a Cy Williams, but for $4.5 million, I've had good power results from the 1911 Fred Luderus. Has HR/100# of 4 vrs. RL HR/1--AB of 2.9. Used him several times in HR+ parks of all stripes and he always seems to do his ting. I like his ..862 contact rte and .327 hit rates

I think Greenberg is really the best bargain HR hitter from the right-handed side of the plate. Cravath might hit more doubles and give you a better OBP and average, but I typically get more homers from Greenberg than any other comparably priced right-hander. That Stargell is quite good as well. I've had him outhomer both '33 and '22 Ruths and Williams on the same teams.

Anyone have any thoughts on the 1914 Gavvy Cravath? Not just as far as HR hitting goes, but just in general? He's a little bit less expensive and the numbers arent too far off from the 1915 version.

One of my last teams before taking a break won 114 games and got WC, was called bloop single and we hit about 300 HR and gave up 8 i think in AFC 110 mil league. my line up was

Player HR
1993 Phillips 11
1930 Klein 40
1938 Greenberg 49
1930 H. Wilson 45
1924 C. Williams 55
1989 HoJo 32
1954 Mathews 35
1962 Buck Rodgers 12

And Pitchers took care of about 20.
Averages were great too. Lost in the WS i think in 4 or 5 games, But was by far my most fun team to play with.

I have had really strong Homer and RBI seasons from 1922 Tilly Walker (for $4.9mil). He also can play all 162 games without getting fatigued. He is amianstay on my teams that play in HR parks (e.g. Atlanta)

Tilly Walkers performance history shows an average performance of 40+HRs and 130+ RBIs -- very solid in my opinion.
