you are not early------- once the guy in front of you makes his pick.... it is your turn.

This is fun!!, but also agonizing.  What do I take? I might have a great RP in my sights, but also a very good SS, and then there is this OF who is so-so this decade but has a great year in the 90's. Which one to take next?, but with 40 picks before my next pick it really doesnt matter because all 3 will be gone. And even if they are still there it takes me 4 coin flips to determine the winner.
Being retired makes it even worse because I dont have work to take up my time. I am here ALL day, which means I change my mind 24 times before I have to make my next pick.
This was a great idea Bilfert, I hope it makes it all the way back to the beginning of baseball.

Thanks grayfoxx I am glad you are enjoying the draft. I have always felt that draft leagues are a great way to enhance the WiS experience (for free).  I recently read a book by Jeffrey Ma applying the rules of Math and Statistics to sports and business.  I went into this draft trying to follow one of his rules, which is: commit to a strategy and regardless of your heart, make choices based on your strategy.  Through 9 rounds I have violated my strategy twice (Gagne and Bedard).  It has already cost me one pick which easily should have been mine.  To your point, even when you have a commitment to strategy, your heart makes it hard to follow sometimes.

I'm curious about people's stategies for this draft. It's quite possible with such big draft pool's that picking for the future may be useless but that is what I have done thus far (until this pick anyway).

Obviously I am building for the future.  I think that for sure this is possible and the pool is maybe not as deep as it seems.  I think that the pool will ebb and flow as the eras change.  You can for sure steal a first round pick for the future in the 6th round in this draft.  That is what I am telling myself at least.
