The Notre Dame Box offensive set consists of 2 tightends, 1 wide receiver, and 2 running backs. It is a set tailor made for a powerful running game and a conservative passing game where clock management is important.

Shotgun
The Shotgun offensive set consists of 1 tightend and 4 wide receivers. It is the most aggressive passing formation and is good for teams that like to open up the offense. The quarterback also has a few extra seconds to make a play since he isn`t starting out under center.

The Trips offensive set consists of 1 tightend, 3 wide receivers, and 1 running back. Centered around the passing play, trips also keeps a running back in the game to help out with pass protection and to get the occasional carry to take advantage of three receivers stretching the field.
