Each season thereafter a randomly drawn season from 1966-2023 will be used to get new players to Bid on. Only rookies (1st season WIS) from that season will be used.

So, for example, if 1984 is selected, we will bid only on players whose first WIS season is in that year. But their entire careers will be available, just as in the original bidding process. If they have enough years and points in the bank, someone could sign Roger Clemens to a 15-year/9-point contract and then use those seasons in any order they choose. Is that correct?

Lets get the rules set and go with it.
The Bids will be limited to 8 total when rebidding or raising Bids. We'll also stay with 150 points total. It's up to you how you use them. Spend or save 'em. That in itself is a strategy that you'll need to decide on and live with if you over-spend.

Last call for 3 more.
8 total bids... so if we bid once on 8 of the posted players we're done? There would be no option to further raise any of the bids we've made if someone else makes a subsequent bid?

No
You can raise the Bid on 8 players each day. A player is available to Bid on until he goes 24 hours without his Bid being raised. Only after 24 hours without receiving a raised Bid is he awarded to the highest Bidder.

The list of 5 players that are submitted by every owner is basically just to get a pool of players to Bid on. I figured we might as well start the Bidding with the players the owners want. Then each and every day thereafter you can raise the Bid on 8 players.
If an owner wants to try to lock up a player they can submit an opening Bid that would cover all of a players seasons such as Koufax at 12years@9points. If they would be the only one to submit that as an opening Bid they would get him since his Bid could NOT be raised. If 2 or more owners Bid that he would go back into the pool for the next round. Happens a third time and he is blacklisted. The disadvantages to Bidding on all of a players seasons is that you must USE every season and you use up a lot of the 75 years in your Bank. It may be feasible to do that on 1 or 2 players but you'll limit your ability to lock in some other players for multiple years if you do.

Great, that will make the bidding more interesting. Can't wait to get started.

A lot of looks and very few takers.
Surely there is one more owner who likes the concept of being able to acquire any player that becomes available limited only by your own decisions and then also gets to pick which seasons to use of that player and when they want to use them.... Seriously, what is there NOT to like?

Do we need to use a player's years consecutively? If I get Koufax with a bid of 6 years, does it matter how/when I use those years, ie, do I have to use Koufax from 61-66, in order, or can I go 62-66-63-65-64, etc.
