My thoughts exactly!

Stieb was the first player I thought of, but figured he would be a popular choice, so I went with another Blue Jays SP that never struckout 200 batters.

I was shocked to learn the Rangers have only had three 20 game winners, and none in the last 25 years.

200 strikeouts is actually a very significant total...control pitchers like Stieb rarely hit that mark unless they throw a ton of innings. I used Sid Fernandez (definitely a flamethrower) for the Mets 200K guy and got lucky... he made it only once, and with EXACTLY 200

I was surprised to see that Stieb ever topped 180...I would have put his career high in the 150 range

I choked on 3 boxes today! Stieb was one, and I guess Gaylord Perry didn't win 20 in Texas. Oops. I can't even remember my other flub. Best forgotten and try again tomorrow.

I got a 33 today, my lowest score ever!

FYI, Marty Cordova was the same percentage as Oliva for Twins ROY. Figured everyone would select Carew. Maybe Knoblauch would be lower?

Meant to type in Francisco Liriano into the Pirates/Twins box and typed in Nelson Liriano instead. Still works! 0.1%!

That reminds me of when I was in an auction Baseball Roto league a number of years ago (late 1990's). I was bidding on Mariano Rivera and I made a jump bid of $14. Crickets. Sold. Imagine my surprise when I realized that I just spent $14 on Ramiro Mendoza.
