I really liked the idea of pairing Simmons/Jokic with Dwight, because combined they basically cover assists by themselves, and Dwight can cover Jokic on D. Simmons' biggest weakness is no threes, and not only does Jokic chip in a few (though I'm not using his highest threes season) but his assists freed me up to go with pure 3-and-D bombers on the wing, which I then did with Person, Rush, and Anunoby. (There are so many options on the wing these days, as long as you don't need assists or boards from them.)
I'm not thrilled with Embiid. I don't need that much usage, and would have preferred better efg% and fewer turnovers. But I thought it was more important to get someone with credible D (for playing next to Jokic) and solid assists (so I don't fall off an ast% cliff when Jokic is out). No other high-usage big available seemed to fit the need quite so well, so I went ahead and grabbed him in the 4th. And I feel like that decision was justified given the high-efg% 3-and-D wings I was able to get later.
The net result: we have very good efg%, low fouls, and solid defensive boards. Offensive boards are very light when Dwight is out and turnovers are definitely too high. Defense isn't exceptional but is solid across the board other than Jokic. Seems pretty good, but then again I thought my last team was elite and it was a .500 team.
