As a rule, I think drafting role players before higher usage guys is a risk. I appreciate Stockton, but Penny is 80% as good as Stockton on assists and eFG% with 40% more usage. You can get comparable value to Wade in the 3rd round (preferable value, IMO), and while Magic does two things better than Penny, they're somewhat negated by his turnovers. To me, the guy who doesn't have to compensate for his own faults is more valuable, but I doubt anyone would argue that Magic is unquestionably better than Penny. The way I see it, it's debatable at most.
