25 or 20 on DEF and OFF practice Topic

I don't think diminishing returns is really the important factor here.....what is important, IMO, is that 25 minutes almost assuredly gets you to A+ Sr. year while 20 usually doesn't......there are other factors (mostly WE) but to me, that's the important nugget of information

I like 23 O and D. Makes for a nice blend of IQ and skill development. But I just checked my GA Bulldogs and they are at 25/25, so maybe I like 25.

I guess my question would be, has anyone figured out the point of diminishing returns?    Someone said it began at 20 - so that your benefit from 25 compared to 20 was less than your benefit from 15 to 20
it starts below 15 minutes.  ie..  30 practices at 10 min will result in more gain than 20 practices of 15min.

But you generally don't see a noticeable lack of growth vs. time spent until you get into the mid 20's

My basic is 20 min Off and 25 min Def, but it depends on the makeup of the team. If I need my freshmen to play significant minutes at tournament time I'll give more minutes than it I have a senior/junior dominated team. I'm a believer that IQ is significant and want my guys to be at least B+ by their sophomore tournament.

I use ~50 total, but I use a combo defense.
