Of course it does.    If three, or nine, consenting adults believe that being married will make them happy, there's no reason to prevent it.  After all, if it harms no one else and makes people happy, America is all about doing it.

My point is that, according to your logic, now that gay marriage is the law of the land that polygamy should also be the law of the land.
