Techmobo, I am thrilled to have a 3rd member of the NWP among our ranks.  To show you my gratitude, I am going to bestow upon you the 1930-39 Phillies as your franchise.  Good news is you don't have to search for "Blue Jays." You can find all your execrable pitching just by looking up the Phillies in the database.

rmarsh, Carew is an excellent choice.  No super-high PA seasons I can saddle you with.  No really terrible seasons either (he came into the league and hit .292, and left the league after hitting .280).  Really came down to 2 choices...1968 was his weakest offensive season, but that would still give you a near-fulltime 2B with a normalized .291 average.

So I am going for 1970...his stats are awesome, but in just 204 PA, which will cost you $2M, so you'll still have to spend money on an infielder.  And we'll see how much damage Carew's D/D- at 2B (or D-/D- at 1B) can do.
