Having re-checked the rules/criteria, put me down for 1948

Looks like 1965 for me, chosen in part because it's my birth year.  (Though there ain't a whole lot of years to choose from at this point.)  I'm toying with the possibility of naming my team the Solon Sacraments to balance frankalien's Sacramento Solons.

In honor of my high school (35th reunion is this year) and our insensitively named mascot (though it wasn't yet considered "offensive"), I will name my team the Fremont Indians.  Famous Fremont alum (besides me) include Troy Tulowitzki, Teri Hatcher, and Peter Ueberroth.

On Fremont on, we are the Indians brave and strong!
On down the field, for we will never, ever yield.
We're gonna fight to the end, ever ready to defend.
Indians red, let it be said: 'Forever, ever, ever Fremont High!!!!!!

sevenfifty5, that definitely would be quite the coup if you decided to do that I can only imagine what kind of games we would have? I thought you were joking but I see there are 4 possible locations of Solon, be it Ohio, New York, ,Maine or Iowa or beyond?

I live not far from Solon, IA, so I was aware of that one.  But I ended up going with Oshkosh since I'm playing my birth year and I was born there.  I'm certain you and I would have ended up in the World Series together had I gone with the Solon Sacraments.
