Since 1911 there have been 48 MLB teams who finished the regular season with an exact .500 record. When you sign up for the league, I'll use Random.org's List Randomizer to generate a numbered list of those teams. The first 2 teams on that list will be yours exclusively and you can twist any player on both rosters to make your team. Use http://www.baseball-reference.com/teams/ for the rosters. Make sure you draft the correct player season - example: the Dutch Leonard on the '52 Cubs is not the guy who pitched for the 1914 Red Sox... and the Pete Rose on the 1996 Reds is Pete Rose Jr - (this one got me in a past league).
.
Commissioner's re-spin discretion - there are several franchises with .500 teams that are close in years (Diamondbacks,Twins, Astros, Padres, Expos)... if your list comes up with say, 1972 Twins & 1973 Twins, I will re-spin your draw. (I've run this league before and this hardly ever happens).
Please be prepared to play with the teams you are randomly assigned... I'll wait and take the last 2 teams standing.
