Went back and forth between Morgan and McGraw.  I needed a 2B.  I had '96 Edgar Martinez penciled in at DH, but could slide him to 3B (i.e., '91 season) if another 3B didn't present itself.  So logic dictated that I take Morgan.
 
It was just to hard to pass up that .475 OBP for just $6.1 million.

I'm really glad you didn't pass up that .475 OBP for just $6.1 million, schwarze...  I'm a walks-and-power guy, even stubbornly so when the rest of the owners pick dead ball era pitchers and .400 singles hitters...
