Name Game Draft League League ID# 111902


This Draft League has been done previously by cstrohmier. He has given me approval to run it this time. I have made a few changes that hopefully will eliminate some previous issues. I have also increased the number of options/connections that can be used when drafting.

This is a 16 team league, 4 Divisions of 4 Teams. All players in the WIS database are eligible.

To start the Draft I will randomly select a player from baseball-reference.com. Draft order will also be randomly determined and the first owner will then draft a player based on the name of the randomly drawn player. Each subsequent pick will then be based off of the player previously taken. I will not pick before the #8 pick in the first round.

Player connections allowed:
1.SAME FIRST NAME (John must be John, not Jon, Johnny, or Jonathon)
2.SAME LAST NAME
3.SAME INITIALS
4.INITIALS REVERSED (H.R. to R.H.)
5.LAST NAME FIRST, FIRST NAME LAST. (Bill Terry to Terry Pendleton or vice versa)

All Names must be spelled exactly alike according to the WIS database.

Each round of the Draft will have a new randomly determined order.
When we start Round 1, I will post the order for Round 2. When we start Round 2, I'll post Round 3 and so on. The owner who picks last in a round will never pick first in the next round to avoid setting up back-to-back picks.

The draft will be run Off-the-Clock due to the nature of the league. Picks canNOT be skipped for any reason. If 24 hours pass without a pick being made I will select the Hitter with the best Batting Average below $1 Million in Salary for the missed pick. All of the 5 Connections listed above will be used to determine who the Hitter will be. If there isn't a Hitter at that level I will continually increase the level of Salary by $1 Million until I get one.

If at anytime there isn't a possible connection that can be made a new random draw will be done to get a new player.

These drafts take a long time to complete. If you don't have enough patience to endure a long draft please refrain from playing.

All Players are Exclusive and you can use any version of your players, you just have to stay under the Salary Cap.
