EDIT - clarification, if you end up losing a player because someone has caught a ball you have thrown and you consequently lose a player, that loss will count towards the four "hits" needed so that you may also, catch the ball.

So , you throw the ball at me, it's my fourth time being hit, and I declare a Catch, meaning you in effect are hit instead. However, it's your fourth time getting hit as well; can you declare a catch, meaning I get hit after all? Or, since the ball wasn't really thrown at you (I caught your throw), you need to wait to get hit again before declaring a Catch?

no sir, you can only "catch" the ball when someone actually throws it at you.

That's what I thought; just wanted to make sure before the season starts (since I'm one who is often accused of exploiting loopholes!).

I'm in again, and if you need a captain, I'll take a 2nd shot at it.
