I am pretty sure that however much anyone thinks their strategy has been disrupted...I've got you beat.  In 3 of the 5 rounds, I had multiple options I was weighing, only to see ALL of them disappear by the time I was up....I've had to completely rethink the strategy 3 times.

That said, I agree, great theme.  I'm really enoying it, even though there is no way my hodge-podge team will end up competitive.

Never in a million years did I expect the Sens/Twins to be off the board 27 picks into this draft...

1987

And since no one can close the team out before I pick again, I will also be taking the Reds.

Similarly since they're safe for me, I'll chime in and take the Orioles to wrap things up for me.

My strategy was to take the Cards early and assume the Twins would be there to come back to late. This obviously didn't work, and I thought I'd be left with no good Deadball pitching if I didn't take the Twins early. I did not think I would close them out at 27

Since then I've had ok luck. I usually had a few plans per round, and while I've never got plan A, I've been able to get one of my fallbacks, unlike what contrarian describes.

I did nearly have the Cards fall into my lap at the end of Round 4. That would have been a lucky break, and I was a bit disappointed when it got close but didn't happen. That was the only time my wife noticed my reaction to missing out on a pick. But really I shouldn't have been expecting that much luck.

I'm kicking myself that I didn't wait until Round 6 to take the Orioles. It would have been nice to take 1937 for instance instead in Round 5. But the team already looks ok, so hopefully it won't hurt too much.

I wonder if anybody's original strategy was able to make it all the way through without a desired season getting taken.
It kinda worked out for me -

Since I first picked 1914, I wanted the Red Sox and the Whales - so I got the two teams I wanted. Then I was hoping for 2002 but had calhoop in front of me.  I was surprised he went with '86 but realized his strategy to work in Mike Scott and the Astros.  Then it was just a matter of picking good hitting Red Sox seasons, of which there were a bunch.  I'm high on this team but it does have a lot of $500,000 scrubs -

definitely a fun theme

1951

Sorry for the delay.  I put the final touches on my team last night... thinking that I would be able to grab 1951.
Instead I'll go with 1926.
