still sucks

1.  Miss State - less than impressive in beating Kentucky but did score 45
2.  FSU - off
3.  Ole Miss - lost to LSU.   True colors flying.
4.  Bama - not as close as the score indicates in beating TN.  20-0 in first quarter
5.  Auburn - snuck by SC.  No defense.
6.  Oregon - beat up Cal
7.  Notre Dame - off
8.  MSU - smoked Michigan.   Big deal
9.  Georgia - off
10.  TCU - put 82 up against Texas Tech.   Loss to Baylor will likely keep them out.
11.  Kansas State - shut out Texas

My four hasn't changed.

FSU, Bama, Oregon, Miss St

If one stumbles, ND, GA or MSU look to be the best bet to get in.    I expect FSU, Bama and Oregon to win out.   Miss St will need to play a good game against Bama to stay in the top 4.  They can lose but they can't get crushed in that game.

Bama haters disappear again.

Auburn/TCU would be a great game in one of the "extra" bowls.    No D with tons of scoring.    First to 70 wins.

Alabama was not impressive....Cooper was, to be sure

the Vols were using their 3rd string QB.....you say the score wasn't as close as it ended up as if Alabama would suddenly start going easy in a huge rivalry game because they opened up a lead.....they would drop 100 on Tennessee in a heartbeat if they could

the final score was exactly where the game was played, Bama was comfortably better but not dominant

Meh.  Bama put almost 500 yards on the board and outgained TN by close to 100.   The result was never in doubt.

Sure it was never in doubt, but it wasn't exactly the dominant game you are making it out to be and Tennessee is awful.  Alabama has looked very average in a number of games.  It wasn't just the loss, it has been a lot of the time.  If they beat LSU handidly that would be saying a lot more than beating Tennessee by 2 touchdowns.

Which one of those statements says "dominated"?    Because those were the two I made in reference to the game and both seem pretty accurate but don't exactly scream "dominated"?

And why no mention of your beloved Ole Miss?   Because they were exposed for what they are?

Anyway, at the end of the day, Bama is one of the "four best" while Ole Miss is not.    If I had to put them in order, right now, it's this:

Bama
Oregon
Miss St
FSU

Just outside
GA
MSU
ND

And truthfully, I think GA/MSU are better than FSU.  ND is right there with them and, if they played on a neutral site, might just beat them the next time.  But FSU will be in the top 4.  Probably at 1 and Oregon at 4 so the SEC teams have to play one another before the championship game.

You know full well I'm an Ohio State fan, I just happen to think results on the field matter is all.  You know unlike you who uses imaginary things, which you aren't consistent in on that.

Ole Miss losing is much more a pox against Alabama than you want to make it out to be because you know Alabama lost to Ole Miss.

BTW, Ole Miss beat Tennessee 34-3 and outgained them by nearly 200 yards (and Tennessee had 0 yards rushing in the entire game).  Why not focus on that game?

I'm trying to focus on the best teams.   Someone asked you a question not so long ago that you danced around like Fred Astaire.    If you had to bet an amount of money that mattered to you, would you take Ole Miss or Bama on a neutral field?

Again, Bama outplayed Ole Miss.   Ole Miss had to pick one off in the endzone to preserve the win.   The W matters but it doesn't tell the entire story.   And a W in Sep/Oct isn't an elmination game.   Those start in January.

I wouldn't bet on that game because I think it is a toss up on a neutral field.  Once Ole Miss calmed down, they moved the ball well in the second half (Ole Miss had 104 yards at halftime).  I think that is as good a reflection of that game as the first half is (when Alabama had a fumble recovery for a TD).
