Well, it'll be fine if he uses the best Garnett (05-06), which is efficient enough, but no one ever seems to use that one.

Is Dikembe at 3 worse than an unnamed "diminutive" player at 17 pennsylvania took three seasons back? Debatable.

let's see: guy who usually goes in the 2nd round picked 3rd overall vs a guy who oftentimes goes completely undrafted going in the first round? good question

there's more to this than efg%, I think you just gave me the hammer and anvil..lol.

Smokey you are missing the point. In these games most of the time over 200 points are scored between the 2 teams. It only takes a 1 point deficit to lose the game. So the margin for error between a loss and a win can be as little as 1/2 of 1 percent.  Low EFG%s by a team's high usage players are the most likely way to lose points from more missed shots than the opponent. Just my take on it.

The last time an owner got criticized by scudmissle for drafting Mel Daniels high in the 2nd round the dude won the title. And now I'm mad that my 3rd round big man is gone.
hey puddin', I atoned for the (s)mell daniels comment.

but now, in these gray moments, I will bow my head again in humility to the talented Emcee of the 52M Extravaganza... who felt moved enough to remind the community of what I said. : )

scud puts thumb to nose, wiggles 4 fingers, sticks tongue out and.... Pblubssstplubesst!

Sorry scud. I am going back into my ego maniac jerk mode. That's good that you have pointed this out so that the signals have been identified before I fell into a complete relapse and became the "Poopie Head Owner" all over again. Now that was ash's description and alas he was correct. I do miss doing the evals but work is so crazy as is RL that I hardly have time each to chime in and make a few crazy observations.

Theoretical question of the day: if Manu Ginobili's 07-8 season had been 3000 minutes, with exact same averages, ratios, etc, where would he go in this draft?

I'm going to say around 17-22.  Looks to me like the closest comp for 3000 minutes of that season is 86-87 Bird, except with less rebounds and more threes.

But alas, he plays only 2300 minutes.  I'm usually a little leery of taking guys with that few so early, but hopefully it works out.

I think that Ginobli could top 15 with 3000 minutes. To me he would be similar to Durant but with less usage and 100% at SG.

Way to take some smart pills natenoy. Which version of Wilt are you going to use? I like the 26 or 27 usage version with the 54% EFG. But I know that anything less than 30% usage won't be good enough for your plan.

Getting Rodman at #8 is an absolute steal.......

Yep.

Also Larry Nance was a bargain almost 60 picks in.
