The Mauer World is entering season 19 and are looking for 5 dedicated owners to join our world.  We are a drama free world whith a great group of long term owners who are always willing to help anyone from a newbie to a seasoned vet.  Have a look at our world rules and the franchises looking for owners.  If you think you would like to be a part of the Mauer world send me a sitemail or post on this forum.

Private World Rules

1. Voting
If the world is voting for a new rule to be instituted it needs 2/3(21 owners) to be apporved for the world. All owners are strongly encourages to vote. Voting in done by trade chat to prevent bickering on the chat board.

2.Vet Commitee
If a rule has been broken a Vets Commitee consisting of 5 owners(including the commish) will come to a decision if a owner needs to be removed from the world because of a rule violation. The owner who is up for removal can make a case for why they shouldn't be removed from the world. Then the Vet commitee would discuss and vote on if the owner should be removed from the league.

3. Minor Leagues
Minor League teams should have enough players to field a competive roster, and not have pitching staffs that are at 0%. This takes the fun out of the game even though it is the minor league level, and by having your batters facing pitchers with 0% you don't get a good feel of how your prospects are performing.

4. Minimum Win Rule
In the mauer league there is a Mimimum win rule of 58 wins. If an owner fails to reach 58 wins the Vet Commitee will decide if the owner should stay in the league. This rule is in place to prevent tanking for high draft picks, and to keep the world competitive.

5. Rule Changes
As we go into future seasons of the Mauer World we might find that we need to add new rules, or modify established rules. If this occurs any new rules or changes to established rules will be up for discussion after roster expansions to the end of the season. That will give us a week to discuss new rules, and rule changes. Then we would vote in the time between the start of the play in series and the end of the divisional champoiship series.

Team #1 NL North-  This team is coming off a 65-97 record last season and will have the 5th and 23rd picks in the upcoming draft.  This team has been in the playoffs 4 out out of the 5 seasons.  This team still has great ML talent to make another run for the playoffs with the addition of a few Free Agents. Team #2 NL South-  This team will pick 9th in the upcoming draft resulting from a 68-94 Record.  This team has made the playoffs 9 times in 18 seasons.  Lots of money to rebuild through the FA market.  This team has no contracts above $1 Millon Dollars on the ML roster.  Some nice prospects in the low minors the wil be ML quality.  A great opportunity to mould this team to your liking.

Team #3 NL West- If you are looking for a major rebuild look no further.  This team will pick 3rd in the upcoming draft after a 55-107 season.  This team has been under .500 for the past 8 seasons, so there are some great propects in the farm system.  This team needs an owner who is looking for a challenge to turn this  rebuild into a playoff team. Team #4 AL South- This team will have the 15th pick in this draft after a 85-77 season.  This team has been over .500 the past 8 seasons, and has made the playoffs 12 times.  This team just missed out on the playoffs and can make it back with little tweaking.  This team has the talent to compete for a division title.

Team #5 AL North- This team just missed out on the playoffs with a 88-74 record, and will pick 19th in the draft.  This team has only had one owner and has been well taken care of.  This team has made the playoffs 7 times, and has had a record over .500 in 13 of 18 seasons.  This still has a strong group of ML Talent that will made a strong bid to get back in the playoffs with a few FA's
