Well, two of the three remaining owners can finish their team, but bbondsmvp must wait until professorjon takes his Miller.  (Round 15 is scheduled for Dec 22, so if he doesn't pick by then, you can take your Miller).

Here are my team stats.  I've removed the dead weight from the totals, even though I realize I will end up using some pinch hit ABs from hitters and mop-up innings from scrub pitchers.  Red signifies a drafted player.  Blue signifies a teammate.

Not as impressive as yours schwarze. I had originally planned to roster 61 Orlando Cepeda and 61 Willie Mays with my Stu Miller nominee. Just didn't work out like I thought it would. Would have been nice to have Musial, Dimaggio and Mays in the outfield. Last cut was Mays when I decided to keep Trammell instead. Still not sure if that was the right decision. Dickey will catch as many games as possible against righties and Kendall will catch against lefties. Burks will play OF against lefties with Musial covering 1B. Against righties Evans will come in at 1B and Musial will take Burks spot in the OF. Hopefully Burks doesn't have a bunch of errors. Stephens may need to cover 3B a few times or go to SS and have Trammell slide over to 3B. Chipper might be a bit short of AB's needed.

Obviously, I can't figure out the proper format technique.

Lots of backup outfield PA (Medwick, Burks).   Tempted to use Larry Walker (D-/D- rated at 2b) to rest Carew when needed and use these 2 in the OF when that happens.

Evans and Stephens will alternate being punished for the salary cap pain they are causing by serving as backup catchers.

Pretty weak starting rotation but plenty of mopup innings from Koosman, Sutcliffe, Pollet and Mesa when that becomes a problem.

Great draft as always!!

12/21/2012 12:01 AM
Usually, at the $120M cap level, teams have $9-12M of wasted salary.  With this version though, with the inclusions of Ruffing, Koosman, Pollet, Sutcliffe, Evans, $20M+ of wasted salary seems to be the norm.
