"Rasheed Wallace. A good player but not my favorite pick at this spot with this team. Very good defense, makes some 3's, good not great EFG%, At SF he really helps the front line on defense as Lucas is only about 50. Wallace has about 25 CREB% at best which combined with McHale's 26 CREB% in his best season, and it may not be enough to make this a final 4 team"
Yeah, I pretty much agree w/ you vance. The problem was, thanks to not getting Penny (would have had a beastly team if so....grrr) and then not picking Manu, I put myself in a position where I had to take not many threes at the point w/ Frazier (cause I needed defense). It left me needing a SF with defense, threes, and good rebounding. Unfortunately, all of those guys were gone long ago, and Wallace was the best approximation left. I think he was a good pick given what I needed, just an example of how not getting what you need early can force you into mediocre-looking picks late. I'll always think "what if" I had gotten Penny there and then gone with either Mullin or Harden (my backup guy) with that next pick - I would have been off to the races. Sigh.
