Vance you have done a solid job on the evals and clearly put in way more time than most do (but you are sill wrong on your Mason grade, he is a great piece for a team with an 8-point usage guy and a lack of ast% from SF and C).

The thing is nate what happens every time your 8 usage point guy has a bad game offensively? The other players all have less than 4 usage points and they won't go off for 25 points in a game very often. Believe me D Wade will have some very bad shooting games. My starting 5 last season included the same version of D Wade that you are going to use. The total usage for that starting 5 was about 117. The total usage points were 17. One of my players that started next to D Wade had 25.5 usage points and 55% EFG. I know that we all complain about how often players that get double teamed go off for even bigger numbers. However, it does have an effect when there isn't another good scoring 2nd option. I haven't checked on this nate but how many FTAs will your team have? Just based on my experience in this league if your team has less than 2500 FTAs and much less than 1900 FTs made it's difficult to make the playoffs because its too hard to win road games.

As far as Mason goes I like him at SF and hate him at PF. He will be getting beaten on the boards almost every game. But let's see how it plays out. If what you are doing works it will be copied by others.

He's also a guy that I've seen be a 2nd/3rd round pick before but seems to have fallen out of favor.
Im wracking my brain and I can't figure out who you are talking about Gin!

It was Troy Murphy and evil got him anyway.

A little over 1600 FTA's right now, will likely end up in the 2300-2500 range. There are still over 6 guys left that are on my 3pt board for today and two $3mill guys that rarely get drafted and do what I want. Of course I plan to take two 50+ D, over 150 triples at 40% with 2 of my last three picks and a 50+D big that can board with my last three picks, then add at least another 150 high pct bombers in the backup rounds.

I hear what you are saying about Wade, but I think I'll have 6-7 guys that go for 10+ppg. Wade can be doubled but teams that go +3 on D may pay because Wade is a mid-range guy. There are two guys between 22.1-27.2 and one over 27.2 that I'm considering today, but the top two on my board right now are slightly below 20 usage points. Guess we will see what the day and the season for that matter brings.

Dalembert was the guy I wanted. He's Tyson Chandler lite.

Due to the realization I going to have too much money... I made a couple of changes. I took a lower eFG Jason Kidd but with the extra threes he should still be above 50% eFG.  Good luck trying to get a offensive rebound against this team

Thanks Vance, I just got my team name for this season.

Vance, if we are allowed to trade players I will take your Kobe for Marshall offer. I really planned on getting one of the three pg's that just went off the board. If I make a deal with you I can move Mason to SF and take two low usage bigs with my last two picks. Still will be trying a version of what I wanted to do but from a different approach.

very well balanced squad but the d is pretty weak for this league....and scottie is my best player....just dont trust him in that role....definitely regret that pick and passing on amare 3 times....that was dumb

nate I will need to think this one over a bit. We would have work out some type of 3 way trade because now that I have drafted A.C. Green he would have to go so that Marshall could fit, and then I would need at least a 4 usage point SG from the 3rd owner who took Green. I have pulled rabbits our of my hat before but I don't see a starting SG there for me in the last 2 picks of the draft that would make that deal work without a 3rd party involved.

Harden is available but I would need to upgrade PG!

"Rasheed Wallace. A good player but not my favorite pick at this spot with this team. Very good defense, makes some 3's, good not great EFG%, At SF he really helps the front line on defense as Lucas is only about 50. Wallace has about 25 CREB% at best which combined with McHale's 26 CREB% in his best season, and it may not be enough to make this a final 4 team"

Yeah, I pretty much agree w/ you vance. The problem was, thanks to not getting Penny (would have had a beastly team if so....grrr) and then not picking Manu, I put myself in a position where I had to take not many threes at the point w/ Frazier (cause I needed defense). It left me needing a SF with defense, threes, and good rebounding. Unfortunately, all of those guys were gone long ago, and Wallace was the best approximation left. I think he was a good pick given what I needed, just an example of how not getting what you need early can force you into mediocre-looking picks late. I'll always think "what if" I had gotten Penny there and then gone with either Mullin or Harden (my backup guy) with that next pick - I would have been off to the races. Sigh.

Oh the fun, I have until 8:00am tomorrow, will look over some options., thanks.

The top 3 guys I wanted in the 6th (Tinsley, Ray, and Faried) were all taken so I had to settle for Melo and Oliver Miller. At least having Melo's short season will keep us out of usage penalties backing up Durant, pushing a couple of minutes a game of Durant at SF.

Miller gives us another defensive presence in the post, with good EFG and ok rebounding. I like how my top three post guys (Duncan, Dalembert, and Miller) can play PF/C, giving us flexibility to cover good post scorers.

All and all not bad... I really wanted Faried and Tinsley though.
