I'll take the Phillies.

a couple clarifications:
  • if I'm reading right, career 99 OPS+/ERA+ = okay to use, career 100 OPS+/ERA+ = can't use?
  • going back 20 years means we're starting with the 1992 BA lists?
you got it sir...100% correct on both accounts.

Top 100 lists from BA back to 1990:

So if BA started the lists in 1990 and we have to use the BA list of prospects, I may need to bail or switch teams - just not enough pitching for the O's without the late 80's guys. Is there any flexiblity? Example for the O's - John Habyan. I can, sadly, attest to his "second coming of Boddicker" status having cornered the market on his 88 Fleer rookie card :)
This league is going to be failed prospects from 1992 to present day.  As a fan of your favorite team you are going to know who all of your teams prospects were...if Habyan was a top prospect of the O's in 1992 go for it.  If you can only find a top 10 list instead of a top 20 list on certain years, and you know that player was considered a top prospect in your teams organization...go for it.  This league is all about giving guys that for whatever reason didn't succeed in the show a chance at success.

ill take the Cubbies. maybe one of their 3b will actually work out for once in this league.

also, the baseball cube has top 10 lists back to '92, but prospects in the top 100 back to 1990.  Are we allowed to use players from the top 100 prospects list from '90 and '91 or not?

Looking at guys for my Pirates team, it's amazing how many guys don't qualify. Jon Lieber, 103+. Nate McLouth, 101+. Ryan Doumit, 108+. Al freaking Martin, 103+.

similarly frustrating for the Phils. would have had a nice rotation with Gavin Floyd (100 ERA+), Brett Myers (101 ERA+), & Randy Wolf (100 ERA+). and I would've liked to use Mike Lieberthal (100 OPS+) behind the plate.

my Indians are like that as well.  We will have some very unique league leaders and all-star rosters in this league.  I have the awesome decison to choose between Andy Marte and Matt LaPorta at 1B.

For now - I'm out - not enough pitching to get close with the O's so far - will do a bit of digging and see what I come up with.
