Try to build the best team possible while also screwing the other owners whenever possible, through the Reverse and Skip cards.
Each team will pick first in one round, with that order randomly determined (so a team might pick 18th in the first round, 2nd in the second round, 10th in the third round, etc.). The other teams will follow and must draft from the same team/years chosen for the first pick, unless a Reverse or Wild Card is played. The order for Round 25 will be determined by when each player uses his Wild Card (first to use it picks last, etc.); anyone from a franchise listed in the game who has not already been drafted may be selected in Round 25.
The team picking first in a round will select a franchise and eligible seasons from the list below. Owners do not have to specify which season of a player they will use, but may only use a season (partial or full) with the franchise under which he is drafted. Once a franchise/seasons have been selected they may not be chosen again (other than for individual players in Round 25), and each player may only be taken once. For example, if someone takes Randy Johnson in the Expos round, that owner can use the 1988 or 1989 Johnson but his Mariners, Astros, Diamondbacks, Yankees and Giants seasons are ineligible.
Rounds beyond the current round can be started if you know the player you want cannot be taken in ongoing rounds. But be careful: If you start a round with a player who can still be taken (including through a Wild Card or Reverse) you lose that player and must pick another player from the franchise you chose. This does not apply to late picks in earlier rounds, but for on-time picks the earlier round takes priority.
WILD CARD: Each owner gets one Wild Card to use at any time in the draft. You may take any player not yet drafted and use any season with a franchise among those listed below.
REVERSE: Each owner gets one Reverse Card to use at any time in the draft, with a limit of one Reverse played in any round. The Reverse allows you to switch to a different franchise/seasons, which will be used for the remainder of that draft except when an owner uses a Wild Card.
SKIP: Each owner gets one Reverse Card to use at any time in the draft, with a limit of one skip per franchise/seasons in any round (i.e., a second Skip can be played after a Reverse Card has been played). For example, if I choose the 1981-2012 Red Sox and take Pedro Martinez, I could skip Manny Ramirez and no Ramirez season could be used (including his Dodgers, Indians and Planned Parenthood seasons).
The Wild Card cannot be played at the same time an owner establishes the franchise/seasons for the round (or remainder of the round). When you pick first in a round or use a Reverse, you must take a player from that franchise. A Skip card may be played when you pick first or at the same time as any other card, subject to limits per round.
Basic Rules
50 Live required for playoffs. If you do not play 50 games, you will be ineligible for the next season of UNO.
No AAA, DH, or clones
Trades in-season only
$120M Cap. IMPORTANT! You must be able to enter your team at $120M. If you are unable to do so, your most expensive player will be dropped and replaced with an eligible player not yet drafted. This can be a factor when a team with few low-cost options is chosen late in the draft, so be careful to leave yourself some options.
Stadium: From the franchise you choose when you pick first in a round or when using your Reverse.
