Is the only limit on undrafted is they had to play on same team together with drafted.  Same or different years
don't matter but have to be same team. correct.
correct
my understanding is slightly different - it's not a full twist in that you cant use seasons of undrafted teammates where they didnt play with your drafted player  (so you couldnt draft Mike and use the 91-92 Rodman, you'd only have 3 years of older rodman OR you cant draft Shaq and use any season of Rodman other than 98-99)
I'm on same page as felon here.  Your seasons of your undrafted players have to be seasons in which they played with your drafted players.

Correct.

I'm not sure if there's any other way to word it. 3 roster spots are drafted players. The other 9 must be teammates of the 3 drafted players during seasons in which they played together.

So, if you draft MJ and Rodman was eligible to draft you could only use the three seasons they played together.

And, if you use 89-90 MJ, you can use any season he and Pippen (if Pippen was undrafted) played together.

Jim Jackson was a really interesting pick. he's had a LOT of teammates over the years

Yeah but my understanding is that you have to use a $5m season of your draft picks, so guys like him & Horry are less valuable than they would initially appear IMO.

that's true but i think they're still pretty valuable. they both have 5 mil seasons with solid efg's and they're not reliant on usage

One other question about drafted players.  I'll use Oakley as an example.  He played for Bulls & Knicks.
I'm using him as a  Knick and only his Knicks teamates are eligible.  What about his Bulls years is that still
in use or just the Knicks.  Since I used him as a Knick is it only Knicks?

No.
ANY teammate the drafted player EVER played with (as long as they're undrafted). Oakleys teammates from both the Bulls and the Knicks can be used, no matter what season you use for Oakley (as long as it's over 5 million).
Sorry for the caps, but want it to be clear.

More clarification:  All of Oakleys teammates are eligible (except those drafted, like Jordan & Ewing).  But you have to use a season in which they played together.  It doesn't matter what season of Oakley you use, but his teammates have to be from a season they played together.

so any Bull from 85-86 to 87-88
any Knick from 88-89 to 97-98
any Raptor from 98-99 to 00-01
any 01-02 Bull
any 02-03 Wizard

Thanks Gin& Ash.   Even with just Knicks, Spurs & Bulls it's a formidable team.  Now just have tougher cuts to make.
The 50M cap should somewhat equalize any disparity.

I think we should all do a write-up for our teams to make it easier to check them.
Our 3 draftees, and when they played with the other 9 guys.

draftee 1 - player z  detroit 1998, player c milwaukee 2002
draftee 2 - player b denver 1994, player d utah 96

etc.

Is there a way to find out how much a player would cost or just estimate?

what

I have a strong feeling about a guy that should be picked.. at this point in the game.. he would definitely bring a top flight running  mate with him.. Will see if anyone grabs this longtime duo today
