Well I'm not necessarily even talking about Pythagorean record vs. actual record, I'm talking about the fact that it has been shown repeatedly that record in 1-run games is basically random.  It doesn't correlate to bullpen quality or anything else.

He's not going to start...  I'd have to imagine barring injury he'll have to show better than Matusz out of the bullpen or he won't stick.

I want a coach so slap Jones upside the head. Horrible plate approach. Axelrod is topping out at 86 and Jones swings out of his shoes on three pitches as if he's getting 100mph heat from Verlander. How about an RBI single, Adam?

I've been saying this for over 2 years.  I still think pitch recognition is a big part of the problem.

As I said earlier, I don't entirely disagree with you. But he's shown this year he can hit that low and away breaking ball. It seems to me that the bigger problem is him trying to hit the ball 500 feet everytime up. I like him, but he seems to have a really selfish approach at the plate.

O's are one bad 7th inning on Saturday from being a game up on the Yanks in first.

Great game in TO today - nice to see Saunders looking crisp. Let's hope Britton can keep it up tomorrow.

They're also one bad series from folding like a $2 hooker after a donkeykick in the crotch.

To explain, they're playing .800 ball(more or less) in 1 run games.  Far and away the best in the league.    They're given up 30ish more than they've scored.

Not after that 12-run drubbing of TO tonight.

They just erased a 10-game Yankee lead and are in first place in September for the first time in 15 years. If that doesn't say playoffs, then every team in that division must be a giant turd, including your Yankees.
