Another question on this guy:  Hardball Dynasty – Fantasy Baseball Sim Games - Player Profile: Yonder Gil The regular season is over. My team got the WC but Gil is not eligible for the post season roster. My AAA team is in the LCS. I'd like to now assign him to AAA so he can continue to play. Would he however incur a demotion penalty? Even though he cannot play anymore games for the big league team.

No.  He's a 1B with a .827 OPS.    Nothing says "HOF".

Westbrook has nearly 3,700 career hits (15 straight seasons with a BA of .300+) and is a member of the 300 HR, 400 SB, 500 2B club (only Barry and Bobby Bonds accomplished this in MLB). He played a poor RF for most of his career, not 1B.

Not really.   I factored in the SB but he was caught 189 times which makes him successful 68% of the time.   That's not even "average" in most worlds.   The only reason I'd even consider him is the 3690 hits.   That would be the record in my worlds.  But, beyond that, there's nothing there to make him HOF-worthy.   Playing poor RF does not help your case.

I inherited this guy - Hardball Dynasty – Fantasy Baseball Sim Games - Player Profile: Alexander Capra - and he has a Player option after this year - for $18 million.  He does have some use this year, but I don't know what kind of condition he'll be in next year.

Is there any way I can get out from under that player option?

Some people claim sending them to the minors will do it.  I'm not so sure that's the case.

What ERA would you expect out of this guy? His previous franchise was Madison in the AL, he'd be moved to San Diego in the NL.

SD really supresses hitting so I wouldn't be surprised if he cut a run and a half off his career ERA.

He's pretty old.  Maybe my old man softball team.

If they become hits.   Line drives to SS sorta suck.

What do you tend to favor? College or HS draft budgets? and if variable, what determines it for you? Since you can't see other team budgets for those categories?
