I think it's more than a "couple of days".   Like 10 HBD days.

I have not.

Are you not understanding my question?

Evidently not.  But here's your answer:  No, you cannot game the system by designating players, calling up replacements, using the replacements for a "couple of days" and then putting your designated players back on your big league roster.  There is a waiting period and it is not "a couple of days".

I recently took over a team, and put them in Iowa City. But I am an Iowa State Cyclone fan, and really don't like the Iowa Hawkeyes. How can I resolve this in my own conscience, and start sleeping at night again?

I'm not sure you can resolve the issue internally but I've found that drinking heavily will help with the sleep problem.

Would it surprise you to know that the guy who took over your team in BTP made the following post? "Fire sale in Houston. Looking to get younger. Trade chat if anyone interests you"

No, that's not surprising at all as almost everyone thinks they should rebuild.   But that team could win 90 without doing anything but accepting mutual options(55m or so).   That said, it was set up to go one of two ways.  1.  Accept the options and contend with a payroll starting around 85m.    2.  Decline the options and rebuild with a payroll starting around 40m.   I guess he's choosing option 2.

Isn't the baserunning rating more of an IQ type rating?  Knowing when to attempt to take the extra base or hold up, knowing when to attempt a steal (or not)?

Jake House tears his hammy.  He takes a big hit in speed (dropping 11 points).  But he also takes a 9 point hit in baserunning.

Does that make sense?  Why would a physical injury make one dumber?

Yes it is.

A head injury could make one dumber.

After some time, thoughts on new basestealing code? I have mine set to 2 of 5 and want to choke something when i see my 70/65 SPD/BR guy get thrown out down 4 in the 7th.

To put it into a real life situation, a failure to adapt to the more limited skills.   He still thinks he can steal bases because he's always been able to.

I think you either have to be a running team, and build it that way throughout your line-up, or not.    Having three guys who can steal and 5 that can't in your line-up seems like a death sentence.

How many at bats can you give a guy before he will up his demands in Arbitration the following season?
3/12/2013 11:31 AM
Not quite sure but 200ish seems to make them ask the same.  Hardball Dynasty – Fantasy Baseball Sim Games - Player Profile: Quilvio Velazquez  I've had several part-timers ask for a renewal of the previous season.   All had less than 200 AB.

let's say you have a team that you were unsure whether they'd be a .500 team or closer to a .700 team. and let's say they're working their way up to closer to the .700 mark. how many games in do you think is long enough to be fairly confident that the team is what it is and it would be worth it to promote prospects to go along with it?
