Great fight no question...but there was no need for the antics that followed. It's a shame that that story is getting more "press" than how good Geno and Neal looked.

it was the adrenaline rush.  asham is pretty stand up.  he immediately apologized after the game and admitted guilt.  

True, and if you watch, he held onto him while he was going down, and had his back to him when he made his gesture. I don't think he realized that he was that badly hurt.  I still look for a suspension though.
And Neal looked great. Everyone was down on this kid because he was snake bit after we got him. I'll bet he hit 15-20 posts after the trade. Great to see him get his confidence back. He's gonna get 30 for us this season!

TSN's Pierre Lebrun is reporting the NHL will not discipline Asham for the gesture after he cited remorse.

A nice gritty effort last night. MAF was brilliant early, and Neal continues to shine. I told you he was gonna be a good one!! Gotta feel for Sullivan though, as he seems a little snakebit, but he is contributing in other ways, so the goals will come. I can't wait to see this team when we are healthy.
