I was always fond of Marc Boileau. Liked Red Sullivan and Red Kelly as well. HCDB is starting to move up the list, but he's not there yet on mine kid! (I am an old fart dontchaknow!!)

Penguins captain Sidney Crosby was back on the ice for the first time since missing 29 games with a concussion.

Crosby skated on the ice for about 15 minutes in full gear early in the morning at CONSOL Energy Center. He stick handled around some cones and shot a few pucks. 

Crosby last played for the Penguins Jan. 5 vs. Tampa Bay

I hope Cooke gets suspended the rest of the season.

And if not, I hope Disco has the guts to not dress him.

sucks too because he seems like such a good teammate off the ice, good parent, involved in charities....


but has no respect for his fellow players and obviously has no problem with attempting to injure them.

No argument about the length, but how can the league justify Gillies only getting 10 games then??

Gillies is a repeat offender this season, but Cooke has been suspended for illegal hits multiple times in each of the last 3 seasons now. Also Cooke's hit was way worse than Gillies IMHO simply because he visibly extended the elbow and aimed for the head. That cannot and should not have been tolerated.

Mr. Shero said it best: these are the types of unnecessary blows to the head we need to remove from hockey.

No argument. Just can't understand what would have been going through his head (and I don't want to) in a 1-1 game in the 3rd period.

Nice, gutsy win by the boys last night. Just a great game to watch. Lots of clean hits and up and down action. Boborofsky stood on his head or else it would have been 5 or 6-1.
