Everyone is loading up on high OBP players and 1894 - 95 pitchers and they are more successful than the guy who has a well balanced team full of MVP's and Hall of Famers.
I disagree with the sim getting better with every change. This last change went in the opposite direction. TOO much emphasis on the catchers arm strength, NOT enough "normalization" for "cookie" deadball era pitchers. And please, increase the value (a lot) of the high OBP players.
ALSO, fielding ratings for pre 1940's players needs to be tweeked a bit ( I had a A+/A fielder commit 20 errors in a season, and several managers had early players with D/D fielders that commited under 10), that makes NO sense.
Just some thoughts. Thanks for the post. I am enjoying this one.

This is the suckiest thing that could ever happen ot whatifsports Ive had a couple of good teams, why dont thease players just shut up its our game,they can play it too. Yea there right the system is wrong but id rather it be wrong than upt to bat tex Catcher BO # 25

I agree. It is getting to the point that you cannot win without Mostly great defensive players. Further, range factors are based so much on statistics that we ignore anecdotal evidence for statistical. Thus, in this sim Jimmy Johnston '23 is a better SS than Honus Wagner and Ashburn is better in CF than Duke Snider. It is way easier to win with Ashburn than with Mays, Mantle, or Dimaggio because his defense is better, and you have so much more money to buy other hitters with.
However, that being said, I love the game. Thanks WIS.
