Can type D picks be lost if you sign a type A free Topic

Basically the title. Type D in the 20s, my first pick <15- would I lose the type D if I signed a type A?

No, those stay as compensation from the previous year. Only your standard pick based upon reverse standings would be lost. If your pick is in the top 16 (I think it's 16, not 15 but I could be wrong) and you have a comp pick at 21; you'd lose the 2nd rounder for signing a Type A.
