I thought Sam was talking about '01, not '07.

A little, but his D is better, his 3pt% is better (which is what I think Sam meant), and his TOP48 and FP48 is less. '01 is the only one I would use.

That 40.8% is a little deceptive since he doesn't take that many 3's and his eFG% is only 50.9. From a value standpoint, I can't be that inefficient and not have very good defense.

This is is why I prefer Kobe. 90 changes everything.

his 3pt% is marginally better on less attempts and his TOV is practically the same - check the corrected post for the rest of glaring mismatch (see also rebounding, assists and FTAs)
TO's are not the same as '07. less than 3 per 48 is huge with that many minutes.

um...?
De Tov Name Team Pos Usage% 2pt%# 3pt%# eFG% OReb% DReb% Ast% Stl% Blk%
64 8.4 Tracy McGrady 02-03 Magic SF 35.4 48.3 38.6 50.5 4.3 13.7 18.7 1.9 1.2
80 8.2 Vince Carter 00-01 Raptors SG 30.8 48.0 40.7 50.9 6.0 8.7 12.8 1.8 1.6

so defense and what else? (ps perimeter % is practically equal (slight nod to T-Mac on both that and actual attempts) and Mcgrady goes to the line a lot more than cousin Vince which, while of course nerfed by the sim, is still a plus on the ledger)
corrected OP for reference

90 is sort of meaningful but also Kobe has similar counting stats to Mcgrady and VC doesnt

as listed his TOV for 00-01 is 8.2 and TMac is 8.4 - that's like no difference at all (go back and check the OP - 01 doesn't pass or board)
oh you're talking about TO%. That's fair. I would've gone Kobe, McGrady, Vince. The one time I picked Vince, Kobe and McGrady were off the board. It was Can't Knock The Russell, and we actually made the playoffs with Penny/Moncrief/'01 Vince at SF/Russell/'02 Ben Wallace (oops). Reggie off the bench.

compared to 63? it most certainly does.

not as much as you think (and it's actually 64) - in either case we're talking about a negative modifier (50 being considered 'baseline 0') in a complex equation which ends up being just a matter of degree

27/100 is always a big deal (depending on who Kobe/TMac defends on the other team).

nah, it's probably something more like the difference between -.04 and -.01 (ok that's an exaggeration but not as much as you seem to think, it's just a factor in a larger equation and it's very likely just a few % points one way or another)

if you knew what it was, you could win every league there is.
