is it a rule in this league that i can't start an undrafted player
I'm pretty sure that we squashed that a couple of seasons ago.
correct...start whoever you want
To clarify, is there also no limit on how many minutes an undrafted player can play? So if you wanted to start an undrafted player and play him 35 mpg that's OK?
Yup that’s fine

My plan with this team after drafting Shaq was to really balance it out forcing defenses to be unable to lean one way or the other.

With Shaq in the post and the trio of Manu, Conley, and Klay Thompson and their 566 made 3’s in the back court, I believe I’ve accomplished my goal.

*update* Since all of the guys I wanted to put in as my starting SF were snatched up, we decided to really make things interesting.

PG: Manu - Conley
SG: Klay Thompson - Manu
SF: Korver
PF: Clifford Ray
C: Shaq - Boban

Pick your poison.

12-13 LeBron
07-08 Calderon
16-17 Horford
13-14 Drummond
14-15 Davis
15-16 Valanciunas
16-17 Noel

and a SG to be named later who is very good at offensive rebounding, defense, low fouls and turnovers

looking forward to dh's alternate timeline eval, but I'll accept any unofficial evals as well

Drummond and AD are interchangable. Technically Drummond is the center. or AD is the center. i don't know. does that matter?

AD is a good SF

AD is a good SF
then you lose the efficiency and the ability to add 3s and rebounding at the same time

really not worried about it. i remember a Cheeks/?/KD/Drummond/AD team getting to the finals of a draft league.

PG - 85/86 Maurice Cheeks @40MPG
SG - 88/89 Michael Jordan @40MPG
SF - 02/03 Shawn Marion @41MPG
PF - 87/88 Roy Tarpley @28MPG and 15/16 Kenneth Faried @20MPG
C -

Tarpley and Faried are exactly who I was hoping to get in that position. 30.4 OReb% and 48.0 DReb% combined. Getting backups for the other starters will be easy given the money that should be left over. Everyone minus Faried has a GP/MPG that closely resembles their stat lines. So hoping it will translate as a unit.

debating whether I want to leave my SG position up to the voters' imagination or not. might be fun to have a chip on my shoulder again

It's official--I am doing something that is likely incredibly stupid: switching to Drexler's super-sub 1300-minute season, and starting an undrafted player in his place. The board of backup guards I wanted to fit my team was completely (though not entirely unexpectedly) decimated--Alexander, Bledsoe, Lin, Hill, Holiday, Jon Barry--so I'm making Drexler the backup and the undrafted guy the starter. Truth be told I was considering picking the undrafted guy in the sixth round anyway before Drexler fell into my lap in the fourth round.

It leaves me short on threes, I take a hit on defense, and it doesn't help with rebounding, but hopefully it will be worth it by keeping my efficiency higher and turnovers and fouls lower.

milest/jhsukow(2) - David Robinson

dh - Dwight...i only picked drob here because dwight and cp3 were #1 on vance and uptowns proxy list

I respect the candor.

maglor1 - Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Gary Payton, Bill Russell

dh - Marshall....really tough pick here...i like russell here but ill take the unique skill set of marshall

I also considered Deron Williams and Donyell Marshall for long time, but I was worried about the fact that best two options for Kareem had Def of 72 and 80. I could have chosen more defensive Kareem, but those choices takes a sizable hit on Oreb%, usg%, or sometimes efg%. Maybe I value defense too much. By the way, I know Marshall is good at defense, but I wanted someone who can give me def of 90 at center, with good reb% and ast%, playing large number of minutes, and in end settled for Russell.

So far Evals are very entertaining. Good Job!
