Did he really say he's "quick flip" the ball backhanded like a 2B does when he's close to 2nd on the DP?

Answer me, unclean!

And you're arguing about something you clearly know nothing about, so the situation can't be THAT grave.
I have firsthand experience, which is more than most here seem to.

Furthermore, typing on forums is one of many distractions I am attempting to not think about the fire. I've also tried video games, reading, and playing card and board games... They work well, but only for short periods...

This has been bumped due to an uncleal sighting.

Uncleal: how can you possibly think that there is no disadvantage to being a handed 2bman?

Yes. You're an idiot for not thinking there's a disadvantage.
Can a LH play 2nd? Yes. Is it impractical and full of disadvantages? Yes.
I hate when one person gives two options and the response is "Yes"...

Have you tried to do what I described yet? It does take a little practice to get right...

Christ. Zbrent716 is an *** for encouraging me to read this. I couldn't take anymore after this.

Uncleal, I'm assuming you've pulled this off in little league or softball where the bases are at least 30 feet closer than 90 feet and runners are slow as hell. Your step by step describes throwing a ball with an elbow flip from an unbalanced position.

As a y who has had to play 2B in an emergency during a college level summer league, I can assure everyone this isn't going to work. Certainly everyone who has posted in this mess(with the obvious exception of uncleal) knows that.

I haven't actually tried it, as our genious has asked but I've been in the situation of trying to turn 2 as a y playing 2B. I can assure everyone (although with one notable exception we all already understand) that standing still and doing this little ballerina pivot on second base with a runner looking to break up the double play is going to get your leg broken and produce a slow roller in the general direction of the 1st baseman.

Uncleal....please read this:
bentschnride is now embarrased to be LH, as are a lot of other people in the forums now..
You should apologize.
