commentariat snoozing this time around so let me toss this one into the room....

did someone trade a handful of picks for Ben Wallace?
Yes, I think that happened. Also, unless my eyes deceive me, penn nabbed his starting five (or at least first five picks) by round 3.

Some random thoughts...
  • Very curious to see which version of Wilt beach is using. Big Ben looks great alongside any version, but this would be a long time to wait to acquire sorely needed usage if the customary vintage ("help" Wilt) is being employed.
  • Curry, Manu, and Deke...offensive balance?
  • Some of penn's teams don't work out like he hopes, but sometimes they are better than I expect, causing me to question everything I thought I knew about how the sim works. So far I see two SGs, two SFs and a halftime (but high-quality) big man. My hunch is that he's counting on someone in particular falling to him who completes the puzzle.
  • Howard, Harden, and Klay combine for awesome offensive balance, but a hideous amount of usage.
  • I like the pairing of Rodman and Ewing.
  • DeAndre and Camby make for quite a glass-cleaning, defensive duo, but they are so similar that pretty much everything else is now sorely needed.
  • Some instinct causes me to love the Giannis-Wade pairing. Together they give you a good start all kinds of things. I've always been indifferent about Parish at this cap level.
  • I don't get the Ibaka selection. Maybe all the individual contributions will add up at the end of the day, but so far it looks like that squad will be at a disadvantage on the boards.

I wouldn't say I get it either haha. With me having three picks in a row at the end of round 5 I am hoping that some lower minute good rebounders will be available and I can rebound by committee. It was also a gut pick, didn't do a lot of research for it. I wanted Parrish.

Thanks for breathing some energy into the discussion here, LTB.

If this was the ODL, I would agree. I don’t think teams bring enough usage to the 52.

Any thoughts on the Barkley, Matrix, Amare combination?

a) I'm wrong all the time with my evaluations in this league.
b) Very good efficiency for the usage.
c) If they are the starting PF, SF, and C, then interior defense seems a bit light.

You got your lead scorers, with excellent efficiency, and pretty good rebounding. However, your front court defense looks weak for this league, and you don’t have 3s (although that’s a relatively easy fix) and you still need a lot of assists

95-96 Brandon
09-10 Kidd
78-79 Marques
73-74 McAdoo
14-15 Tyson

I believe he has Walton, Nance, Erving, Jones (lots of 100s) but still has 3 picks - I think he gets his full 7 just after the 5 turn

I never seem to get the eFG that I want, so I'm super stoked to trot out Bird/Gilmore/Buck & Mullin every night. All over 55 eFG with decent usg.

I’m a little nervous. Not sure the lack of 3s will matter with defense/blocks like that.

if Doc plays the 2, he should be fine
3/12/2019 8:14 PM
although he would need to keep up that level of rebounding when he goes to his bench.
