I don't think Edgar was invited.    Something about votes or lack thereof.

Raines and Lofton are at Edgar's house having a BBQ. 

Jeff Bagwell wasn't there with his long time teammate Craig Biggio.

Had Smoltz not pitched a meaningless season in Boston he could've been inducted with Glavine, Maddux, and Bobby Cox last year marking one of the best HOF classes ever.

I like the larger induction classes but not the size of the NFL.  Anybody else like a group of 3-5 inductees each year or are you good with zero that were inducted in 2013?

If no one's deserving, no one is deserving.   0 is fine if that's the case.

I mean, I guess you could call 5 a crowd. But, regardless of what you call the five guys sitting in the "crowd," you're right. Edgar should be sitting there with Pedro, Smoltz, Biggio, and Johnson.

Edgar is by no means a no-brainer HOFer.  I'm not sure he quite warrants it.

A two time batting champion who only once hit over 30 HR.

There are plenty of those not in the HOF.  Just look at the comparables on his baseballreference page....not an HOFer in the group.

Let's just put everybody in....except Pete Rose.

Then we can change the name to the  Hall of Purty Darn Good Where Nobody Gets Their Feelings Hurt

If he's such a no-brainer HOFer, they why has he never received more than 36.5% of the vote in his six years on the ballot?

Maybe YOU shouldn't be calling others "stupid".
